Celery Hot Dish

A Quick & Easy Summer Meal


4 heaping cups Celery, chopped to bite size
1 can Cream of chicken or mushroom soup
1 Sweet pepper
2-3 Chile peppers, seeded and chopped
1 kohlrabi, peeled and chopped
1-2 to 1 cup almonds
Butter

(Optional):
1 c Rice
2 c Chicken broth
1/2 lb Sausage or Burger

Preheat oven to 350. Saute almonds in butter for several minutes. Boil celery for 5 minutes and drain. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Transfer to a baking pan, bake for 30 minutes. Serves 6-8.

Options: Cook 1 cup of rice in 2 cups of chicken broth. Add to mixture prior to baking. You can also add browned sausage or burger to mixture prior to baking.
